Cruising

On any given weekend, or late summer’s evening, you will find a B21 cruising around Dublin Bay. The boat are ideal for two-man cruising or great if you want to take some non-sailing friends out.

With a lifting keel, the depth of a B21 ranges from 2m to 0.5m. This makes B21s ideal for exploring rivers and shallow waters. The boats are easily beached, similar to a rib or small motor boat.

Cruising Hotspots

West Cork

West Cork is a popular area for B21s with a small fleet in Baltimore. Other B21 are moored in Cape Clear Island, Crookhaven and Schull. Chinook has sailed around the Fastnet Rock which is a 9 mile passage from schull, generally a beat out and a following wind home.

A B21 can be launched from a trailer or a hoist crane. The boat is easily towed on with a single or double axil trailer.
